When DataGene was established in 2016 we were asked to create its communication program from scratch.
This involved identifying key stakeholders and designing a suite of communication resources and activities.
The most visible product of this project is the DataGene website. Examples of communication resources and activities we have been involved with include:
- An awareness campaign around the ABV release campaign each April, August and December.
- Electronic newsletters.
- Media releases.
- Tech Notes and Fact Sheets.
- Farmer case studies (print and video)
- Annual reporting including printed Annual Update, AGM and a video.
- Research project communications (ImProving Herds, MIRforProfit): reporting, extension resources.
- Events such as the National Muster and Herd 19.
- Promotion and evaluation of tools such as HerdData and the Good Bulls App.
- Social media strategy and implementation.
