Over the years we have produced a variety of technical guidelines. Our role is usually in overall project management and overseeing a team of people who contribute technical or other skills. In some instances, we provide the technical writing input. While the final published format varies (increasingly digital rather than print), an important part of the process is to broker discussion between the experts so that the final product is an ‘agreed body of knowledge.’ The negotiations can sometimes be challenging but process also creates ownership by key opinion leaders and influencers. The agreed body of knowledge becomes the reference for extension resources, tools and activities and enables clear consistent messaging. Examples
